Masha Bogushevsky, a native New Yorker graduated from McGill University with a B.A. in English Literature, and received her CELTA in 2006. After working at Newsweek and then Time Magazine, she decided to teach English and travel the world. She has taught in New York City and Japan at schools such as Berkeley College, Embassy CES, American Language School and more. At an early age, Masha became fascinated with languages and until now has studied Russian, Spanish, French, German, and Japanese. Having been a language student herself, Masha decided that it was her turn to help English language learners. In 2008, Masha along with partner Sinan, established Be Fluent NYC.

Sinan Schwarting has been teaching English since 2005, when he received his CELTA (a Cambridge University-sponsored English teaching certificate) in Lisbon, Portugal. He was born and raised in New York, and went to Cornell University to study English. After graduating and going to Lisbon to get his certificate and teach private lessons, he returned to New York, where he taught at the New York Language Center (NYLC). He also worked for a year at Seven Stories Press, aiding the publishing house as a proofreader, making his specialty as an English teacher Writing and Grammar. He spent a year in Japan, teaching for the American Language School, before returning to New York to open up Be Fluent NYC. |
